Sooty is a really lovely tiny 8-year-old black Chihuahua cross. He came into care March 2013 with a severe skin irritation and weighed 3 kilos exactly! He had calloused and bald areas on his body as a result of long term neglect. After intensive foster care and veterinary attention Sooty is now ready for an adoption.
This adorable little man is housetrained and will let you know when he is ready to head outside and head back inside. Sooty is best suited to indoor living with excursions outside. In the wintertime he loves heading outside and laying in the warm sunlight for a spot of sunbathing (He isn?t fussed about being outside during summer as the flies irritate him).
Sooty is wonderful with children and enjoys cuddles and hugs from everyone. When given the opportunity, Sooty loves to sit next to you on the lounge and have a nap right next to you. Sooty would be quite happy in a only dog home if need be but he?s also quite used to having lots of other canine companions around. Ideally, he should be in a home that will allow him to be indoors with access outside.

All ADULT dogs adopted from Newcastle Pound Pooch Rescue will be vet checked, microchipped, desexed, wormed, flea treated, vaccinated and lifetime registered prior to adoption.

Once an email is received, you will be required to complete a Pre-Adoption Questionnaire in order to ensure the adoptee will be a suitable match to your home.
